Royal Crest

A resident-owned community

Welcome Home!

Royal Crest Residents Association is a 55 and older resident-owned manufactured home community in West Wareham, Mass. Royal Crest is conveniently located just 15 miles from historic New Bedford, which offers ferry service to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Our community is located on State Highway 28 in West Wareham. Interstate 495 and Interstate 195 interchanges are located less than two miles away. We are a friendly neighborhood for people who love outdoor activities with easy access to the beautiful beaches of Massachusetts.

Royal Crest is a peaceful and friendly community close to the Cape Cod Canal and fantastic fishing, boating and golfing. We are minutes from easy to access restaurants and shopping and less than 20 minutes from Cape Cod, where we spend the day at beautiful beaches and historic museums. Royal Crest is also centrally located for easy access to all that Plymouth County has to offer.

Royal Crest is owned by the Community Members who live here – we are a resident-owned community (ROC).

We own it

The Member homeowners of Royal Crest control the rent and make the rules. On July 28, 2022, the ROC purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Royal Crest Residents Association. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on the Board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent.

We’re also part of a national network of more than 300 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communication with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Royal Crest is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out firsthand how that difference makes living here so much better.
